03/10/2012: Creative Journaling

Creative Journaling:  This is Not Your Grandma’s Diary!

Even though we’re all writers, we may not take the time needed to work in a creative journal.  Come join a sister writer who also happens to be a master scrapbooker and professional creator of hand-made greeting cards and learn how to develop a creative journal that will not only help you solve many of your creative problems and challenges, but will also give you a “safe space” to be as creative, silly, serious or any other emotion, as you want to be. This workshop will appeal to all writers, both published and pre-published.  I’m looking forward to sharing my use of creative journaling to help keep my muse stoked and at the ready, as well as working through not just writing challenges, but also challenges that periodically pop up in life.   Many times writers will need many sources of inspiration to help them complete their writing projects, and creative journaling and diary-writing is just the tool to help provide that inspiration. This is a hands-on and very interactive workshop, where everyone will have the opportunity to make their own creative journal in the workshop.  All the materials will be provided for the workshop, to include all art/craft supplies as well as the journal.  You’ll leave with a creative journal that will prove to be so value-added that you’ll carry it with you wherever you go!
